Mumbai (Maharastra) [India], July 18 (ANI): Mumbai has been experiencing a heavy downpour since Thursday morning, with many parts of the city getting waterlogged, causing traffic congestion.

Mumbai has been experiencing heavy rain for the last 24 hours. The city and the suburbs are expected to get moderate to heavy spells of rain today, as per the India Meterlogocial Department (IMD) and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
The coastal parts of the city can also expect high tide waves to rise 3.78 metres at around 10 am and 3.23 metres at around 9:30 pm, the BMC said.
IMD also predicted light to moderate rainfall at some places along the western coast in Konkan, Goa, Karnataka, and Kerala, as well as in the northern part of the country, including Jammu & Kashmir, west Uttarakhand, sub-Himalayan and in West Bengal, West Assam, East Telangana, and north coastal Andhra Pradesh, accompanied by isolated thunderstorms and lightning in the next three hours.
In the last 24 hours, the Central Region of Mumbai recorded an average rainfall of 83 mm, followed by the Eastern Suburbs at 45 mm and then the Western Suburbs at 39 mm. Mumbai’s Colaba area received the most rainfall at 51.8 mm, followed by Santacruz at 27 mm.
