Rudraprayag (Uttarakhand) [India], August 16 (ANI): On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, District In-charge Char Dham Yatra Secretary R Rajesh Kumar conducted a field inspection of the projects in Kedar Valley, which witnessed heavy rains recently.
During the inspection, he was accompanied by officials concerned as he inspected the Rudraprayag-Gaurikund National Highway and instructed officials to speed up the work.

During the inspection, the District In-charge Secretary inspected the projects being done by the National Highway Division of PWD and the Irrigation Department. He said that the entire team of the Public Works Department was deployed to repair the damaged road from Km 72 of the National Highway.
Along with this, he also inspected the last damaged road till Km 75 where earth movers were employed. He instructed officials to complete the work at a fast pace.
He said that apart from this, other such places have also been identified where there is a high possibility of the road getting damaged due to the possibility of landslides in future.
During this, the National Highway officials informed the District In-charge Secretary that a proposal had been provided to THDC for strengthening such identified routes. On this, the District In-charge Secretary directed to include the most sensitive places in the proposal provided.
After inspecting the work being done by the Irrigation Section on both sides of the Son River in Sonprayag, he said that the work on the left side of the Son River will be started in one to two days.
At the same time, instructions have been given to the officials to start the work on the right side of this river immediately. He said that along with this, the Sitapur parking area is also being inspected. After this, detailed discussions will also be held with the district administration and the police administration and the government will be informed about every necessary help to be given to the district administration from the government level.
